Black Lake is Truly Black

Black Lake is deep mountain lake whose water appears black due to dark granite cliffs that rise high behind it.
But the Water is Not Black

As you can see along the shore, the water itself is crystal clear and not black at all. But notice the line separating the shallow clear water, and the deep black water offshore.
Crumbling Boulders

Large boulders line the edges of Black Lake.
