Ribbon Falls is a mesmerizing cascade of whitewater that rushes down a slide of black granite. Ribbon Falls is part of the drain for Black Lake. McHenry’s Peak stands a half mile above.

Black Lake is deep mountain lake whose water appears black due to dark granite cliffs that rise high behind it.

Lake Irene is a small, egg-shaped lake near the Crater in the northwest area of the park near the Never Summer Mountains.
