Of all the beautiful parks we have visited, Glacier National Park in Montana is the most beautiful of all. The mountains, glaciers, aqua-colored glacial lakes, wildflowers and wildlife together create a dazzling visual display for the nature lover.

Glacier National Park was created in 1910 and preserves over 1.4 million acres of unspoiled wilderness. There are only 75 miles of roads but over 730 miles of hiking trails. Glacier NP and the adjacent Waterton Lakes National Park in Canada united in 1932 to form an International Peace Park managed jointly by the U.S. and Canada. The United Nations recognizes the joint park as a World Heritage Site and an International Biosphere Reserve.
We visited Glacier NP in September 2007. We spent five days at the Many Glacier Lodge on Swiftcurrent Lake, and another five days at the Lake McDonald Lodge. Following is a photo tour of our trip to Glacier National Park.

I just had to drop you a line to thank you for putting those gorgeous photos up for us all to gasp at. Actually, I was crying real tears and oh, my godding! quite a lot.
This is a very skilled photographer behind these fabulous images.
Thank you so much,
