Lake Haiyaha – Rocky Mountain National Park

Rock and Roll

Lake Haiyaha is a boulder lover’s playground.  To reach the shore, you have to scramble over car and bus-sized rocks, some as high as five stories tall.

Boulders, Boulders Everywhere

Everywhere I look, a boulder I see.  The massive rocks were deposited by the glacier that carved this valley.  Here Theresa is scouting a lunch spot with a good view and sheltered from the strong wind.

No Fear

You can’t have a fear of heights and climb these massive rocks.

Bird’s Eye View

Theresa is enjoying the view atop the world’s largest recliner.  There was a comfy spot for two where we could lay down and relax under the warm sun.

Squeeze Play

Theresa stands between a rock and a hard place.
