The most beautiful section of this most beautiful park is the Many Glacier region on the northeast side of Glacier National Park. The crown jewel is Swiftcurrent Lake, a relatively small lake with a super-sized view.
Mount Wilbur

Mount Wilbur, which rises 4,400 feet above Swiftcurrent Lake, is kissed by clouds on this fine morning.
Grinnell Point

Grinnell Point towers above Swiftcurrent Lake.
Many Glacier Lodge

Many Glacier Lodge is a 3-star hotel with 2-star rooms and a 5-star view. Never have we stayed in a hotel with a more stunning panoramic view. If you get a lakeside room, you don’t even have to get out of bed to experience the terrific landscape that Glacier National Park has to offer.
America’s Little Switzerland

The Great Northern Railway built the Many Glacier Lodge in 1914 as a destination resort for its rail tourists. The hotel sits among soaring, jagged peaks, resulting in the nickname "America’s Little Switzerland."
Avalanche Chutes

Directly above the tour boat on Lake Josephine is an avalanche chute, where a winter snow avalanche has cleared a long line of trees, resulting in a open meadow running vertically along the slope. Flush with nutrients, an avalanche chute is full of succulent new growth that is a major draw for grazing grizzly bears. Grizzlies love these chutes so much the chutes are nicknamed "bear elevators."
