St. Mary Lake is another huge lake that’s 9 miles long and sits on the east side of Glacier National Park. The lake is surrounded by mountains and sheer cliffs and has the Continental Divide as a backdrop. It drains into an 8-mile long Lower St. Mary Lake just outside the park that is also very pretty. We only passed through this area, but plan to stay here when we return in a couple years. There are also many terrific hikes in this area.

This platform is a bit high for cliff diving, so Theresa just admires the view.
