Trail Ridge Road – Rocky Mountain National Park

Highest Highway

  

Trail Ridge Road is the highest continuous paved highway in the United States.  It winds 50 miles east-to-west through Rocky Mountain NP, crossing the continental divide and reaching an elevation of 12,183 feet.

Concentration is key while driving Trail Ridge Road.  There are a few narrow spots and many long drops.

  

  

  

Scenic Drive

 

There are many pullouts and information boards along Trail Ridge Road.

 

 

 

The View is Sublime

A storm rages in the distance on Longs Peak, the highest mountain in the park.
 

An elevated alpine lake is nestled below a mountain.
